Michael
Feldman (Playwright/Performer) received his BFA from New York University’s
Tisch School of the Arts, Playwrights Horizons Theater School division.
There he created and performed numerous solo pieces including Diagnosis:
Jew Pain (www.jewpain.com) which got accepted into the 2003 New York
and San Francisco Fringe Festivals before touring across the country.
It was voted one of the top 25 NYC fringe shows (out of over 200)
from Showbusiness Weekly, and was recently performed in Jerusalem,
Israel. At NYU he studied with many prominent theater artists including
Deb Margolin, and Liz Swados.
After graduating from NYU, Michael worked behind the scenes on the
award-winning television show The Daily Show with John Stewart. Michael
is also a member of the sketch comedy troupe Fresh Meat (www.freshmeatnyc.com),
which has toured across the country and Canada to critical acclaim.
He’s currently writing a new solo show about the Jewish life
cycle with solo performer Jon Ross. His latest project is a multidisciplinary
one-man show/documentary called MuscleBound which tackles the prevalent
yet rarely discussed topic of male body issues and eating disorders.
Adam M. Laupus (Director) was born in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and
traveled East and SE Asia before moving to Atlanta, GA and then onward
to New York City. He attended NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts
where he received his BFA in Drama. There he attended the Classical
Studio, the Experimental Theatre Wing, and Playwrights Horizon Theatre
School where he majored in directing and met his MuscleBound collaborator.
Adam has worked with director Louis Scheeder in the marathon production
of the Henry VI trilogy and director Dave McGee in his off-broadway
remount of Buchner's Woyzeck. He has recently returned from California
after filming the independent movie Aftermath, and he has also filmed
a pilot for Showtime in conjunction with NYU titled University Place.
In addition to directing MuscleBound, Adam has also worked with Michael
as part of the sketch comedy troupe Fresh Meat, which he directs
and performs in.
